    Summary List Placement UK digital secretary Oliver Dowden has said he wants data regulation that is "more pro-growth, more outcomes-based, and less tick box" for a post-Brexit UK.
    The UK is set to thrash out its own regulation around data usage after its decoupling from the European Union. As a member state, the UK had complied with the EU's data protection regulation through the 2018 Data Protection Act. The Conservative government views its withdrawal from the EU as an opportunity to reform the law.
