• Five Economic Reasons to be Thankful

    First, thanks to all the healthcare workers and first responders who have been - and still are - on the front lines saving lives. Thank you!
    Here are five economic reasons to be thankful this Thanksgiving. (Hat Tip to Neil Irwin who started doing this several years ago) 1) A Falling Unemployment Rate.
    The unemployment rate was at 4.6% in October. The unemployment rate is down from 14.8% in April 2020 .
    The unemployment rate is down from 6.9% a year ago .
    There are still 4.3 million fewer jobs than in February 2020, but this is significant improvement in the unemployment rate.
